84  Technical Board / Modification Help / Re: Holley to Stock Accelerator Pedal on: November 08, 2016, 05:27:34 PM
I used a vr commodore pedal assembly and welded a 10 packer to the back to clear the pedal assembly plate. I also cut a hole and welded a 40mm tube into the peadl floor plate so my original handbrake arm could pass through it. I am running a vr booster and the cables come out behind this and around the RH side.

OK got an answer in qld it can be any shape as long as it has a surface area of 150mm and no sharp corners and at least 3mm thick. I used 150x32x3mm. I now have the drivers bucket seat fitted.

is there anyone on here that lives in or near newton in Adelaide. I have to get 2 commodore rims offset changed at CSW. They charge $360 for new or $95 to change existing.
My hope is someone there could buy some std 6" commo rims and take them to this place.

the plates that go under the floor when fitting bucket seats, how big do they have to be? I know seat belt ones are 75x75 with rounded corners.

I too am chasing these rims, I have managed to find two up here in the sunny north. Wreckers look you as if you are alien when you ask for 26p commodore rims.

92  Technical Board / Modification Help / Re: Costing a Commodore manual rack conversion on: August 01, 2016, 04:06:08 PM
I made my own collapsible column, a copy of rods racks (sort of). I used VB bottom outer tube matched to FC top outer. Inside I used VB bottom and VP top, as this has same spline as FC for taking std steering wheel. Getting the hole in the floor plate right was the tricky bit, I had trouble with the uni on the intermediate shaft notching.

Day16 Sunday
Went for a drive to Mooloolaba and area. Had a swim at the main beach. Found a few good shops.
Decided to go for a drive to the glasshouse mountains. Came across a major car crash so abandoned that mission after being stuck in Traffic for half an hour. Bugger that shit. For something different found a pub for a quick ale at the Beerwah hotel. One of the locals gave us a shortcut back to Ron and Dianne's. Fred worked on his brakes and went to the pub for tea. Another good day

Day 15 Saturday.
Said Goodbye to Colin and Lyn (Car 76) and George and Barbara Cars 81 and 82).  They have been in the park a couple of days too.
Off to have a cup of tea with Ron and Dianne at Mooloolah.
Decided to stay with them for a couple of days for rest and relaxation.
And Fred's trying to fix his brakes.  They seem to be smelling a little. Something about the wheel cylinders.
Too many steep hills.  mmmmmmm
Ron and Fred when to check out an action that is happening in two weeks.  Some interesting cars.
I stayed home and washed and slept till 11.30am.  Think the weekend has caught up with me.
We then went to Rick's Diner in Palmwood.
WOW again.
Had great burgers and Alcoholic Ginger Beer on tap.
There was a bike run on and they had all stopped for a drink.  Must have been 100 bikes at least.
Fred parked in the middle of them all for a photo shoot. CAREFULLY

Home and cooked dinner for Dianne.  Missed the footy.  Apparently the Cowboys won.  Yay
OK off to bed again.

Fred playing dress ups at one of our stops

Wish I had put on my glasses to read the map.  This is the Oops part.  Apparently it says DIRT ROAD.
Lucky it was all downhill and not raining.

Nice and steep

Also stopped at the fig tree.  But can't seem to upload more photos so giving up for yesterdays pics.
Went to the local pub to watch the footy and caught the bus back to the show grounds
Bed at last, another big day.

Day 14 Friday
Woke up and decided we would stay another night and do a bit of site seeing.
There is a loop you can do up around the mountains and back again.
Took us most of the day.
Map below where we went.

Wow lots of Ups and Downs.
Lucky we decided to leave the van behind.  There is no way we could have done it with the van.

Day 13 Thursday.
Wow what a beautiful place to wake up to.
Kangaroo's everywhere.

Drove to Esk and then up the outside of the Somerset dam Again stopping at every Antique and Second hand shop.
Fred found a leggy blonde

Got to Maleny.  Wow another beautiful place.  Staying at the showgrounds for the night.
So much to see around here tomorrow.
Set up the TV so got to see the Footy finally.
Apparently I was snoring in the first 20 Minutes.
