Hi .. has anyone restored a NASCO wind shield / deflector , if so .  how do you get the old green paint off without ruining the plastic, and what type of paint is used to repaint it  .. not sure if the photo will turn out or not ???.. Regards Stephen

I haven't restored a deflector but I have removed paint from a freezer door of an old refrigerator I am redoing. These are clear plastic and painted from the inside. I used a product called Polly S  Easy-Lift-Off  paint and decal remover. It claims to be safe of most types of plastic and will remove most paint. Like anything it should be tried on a small area that wont be seen in case it has a bad reaction to the plastic.

Hope this is of help.

Mike
