Hi everyone the bonnet I am using on my FE is a FC BONNET  so I need to weld up the holes for the HOLDEN lettering and mount the FE trim and badge.I want to put it in the right place so if someone could give me some measurements from the front edge of the bonnet to the bottom of the chrome trim at the middle I think that should do the trick.     THANKS DAVE

Hey Dave
The section Rabbitoh is refering to is a club member only section and not able to be viewed by all.
The measurement you are asking about is 26mm.
If someone has a spare bonnet without emblem, it might be useful to give the measurements to the holes instead.
Regards
Alex

well...my trip to the shed wasn't entirely successful.  The measurements are shown below but it seems that, on this car at least (which I had thought was largely original), the emblem is mounted too low. On my ute (which isn't here right now for me to look at) the emblem is definitely higher, more like the 26mm Alex referred to.

So, it might be best to check another car or three first but then, maybe just add the appropriate amount (16mm?) to the vertical measurements below.  This diagram should at least give you the relative positions of the holes.  Note the 2 central ones seem to go through the bonnet and the bracing below so it might be 'interesting' to get that lined up nicely.

I measured a stock bonnet and centre holes are 61mm and outer are 52mm. This pretty much ties in with what has been written so far.

Hi Dave'
I've got 3 FE bonnets. The emblem is 26mm up from the bonnet edge on all of them.
3 out of 3 ain't bad! Is that what Meatloaf said?
