many years ago when i first built my fc i purchased new door rubbers,not only were these rubbers ill fitting the doors wouldnt even close due to the design of them,so much so that they are still in the box,are they any better these days

Yes they are better, still not an exact replica of the originals, but they do fit ok. I have fitted many sets without problem
