1  For Sale and Wanted / Cars For Sale / Re: eddys fc ute on: June 01, 2015, 11:27:35 AM
Ute is no longer for sale sorry. I was only trying to sell it to raise funds for another low mileage fc, thanks for the recent interest a few blokes have shown in my ute, but it's about 6 months too late, I wish I had this much interest before Christmas.
Cheers

For SALE, best offer, fc ute, complete but in pieces. All rust repairs done by professionals, (sills, dog legs etc) its all been panel beaten & primed, I have a crs tunnel which has not yet been fitted, new tailgate skin fitted, hr disk brake front end modified to suit grey motor, grey motor was running when I started rebuild, interior in good cond (no hood lining or carpet), smiths heater, chromework & bumpers as per previous photos. Im not desperate to sell this ute, im only considering it as I have found another fc that is driving & registered(only 27000 miles)& I need the money for it. Located in albury
4  For Sale and Wanted / Cars For Sale / Re: what does everyone think of these? on: February 14, 2014, 08:32:26 AM
They would all belong to old Rex in howlong. Not exactly a wrecking yard just a bloke that travels the country picking up old cars and dragging them back to his house. He normally has 30-40 cars lying around the house & has been selling them for as long as I can remember.
I personally would not travel too far to look at one of Rex's cars, I have looked at a few of his cars and always found he wants top dollar for rusty wrecks. He does get the odd good car though but be prepared to pay.

The cars you are interested in look to be in better condition than most of the junk he usually sells, but they seem very cheap for Rex's normal prices so I would imagine they are fairly stuffed.
Just my opinion they might be good restorers, I might have a look at the sedan myself but I won't have high expectations of it.

Cheers

I worked at a joinery shop in Thomas Mitchell dr in wodonga for about 8 yrs this car lived at the house over the road, always wanted to ask the bloke if he would get rid of it but never got around to it. It has been a few yrs since I seen it. I think the bloke that owned it updated to an ej.

Hey pedro, looking good mate you are getting close.

If you don't mind me asking, how much did all the chrome work cost(looks like just about everything except grill)?? I would like to get all my chrome done but have heard I won't get any change from 6-7 g from our local guy, would love to know if I can get a quality job done a lot cheaper.

Cheers

Long time since last post, not a great deal of progress just collecting parts, loaded the old girl onto the trailer today for a 30 km trip to my rust doctor. Whilst parked out the front of my panel beaters house his neighbour came out and told me he might have some parts I would be interested in.
Scored a bonnet, sun visor, grille & some really good hubcaps all for free. Might start parking it out the front of random people's houses more often!!!
Can't remember how to do photos ill have to learn again there will be lots coming soon

Cheers

11  For Sale and Wanted / Parts For Sale / Hoodlining, towbar & tonneau cover on: June 14, 2013, 08:28:33 PM
Hi guys, I was about to tear the hood lining out of my fc ute but I thought someone else might want it. It's a light green colour, discoloured a bit after 50 yrs of use, not sure how to remove it in one piece so might be best if you come get it yourself (albury).FREE. I also have a towbar and a tonneau cover to suit fc ute I don't need.

I can send pictures if required. Txt me on 0439561615.
Cheers

12  Technical Board / Modification Help / Re: Red upgrade help?? on: June 05, 2013, 07:52:16 AM
Thanks for the help guys.
I am planning on running the stock steering set up(if i can)with the factory column modified by alien retro columns to be collapsible and to incorporate self cancelling indicators.
Still undecided on chassis kits/ crossmember, but thanks for showing me some options
Cheers

13  Technical Board / Modification Help / Re: Red upgrade help?? on: June 03, 2013, 08:21:18 PM
Cheers guys. Has anyone got any pics of the floor mods they have done to fit a trimatic. I want the ute to be pretty low so I would prefer not to run the chassis kit if it affects lowering and exhaust.
14  Technical Board / Modification Help / Red upgrade help?? on: June 01, 2013, 08:54:24 AM
Hi guys its about 45 weeks until the tassie nationals, and having just returned from tas last wknd I'm keen to finish my ute and get it over there. Any advice from people that have done a 202 upgrade would be great. I have the 202, trimatic, disc brake front end, bigger tunnel, and I am aware I need a collapsible column, demisters, 2spd wipers, seatbelts etc. but I guess what I really need advice on is #steering set ups #do I need a hadfield chassis kit or gearbox crossmember???
Also has anyone dealt with Alien Retro Columns? He sounds reasonably priced I just need to work out the best steering set up?
I have spoken to my nearest engineer and he said just refer to vsb14 or whatever it's called but all I picked up from that was wipers, belts, disc brakes, column etc.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers

15  General / General Board / Re: FC van ready for paint - grey or green? on: March 04, 2013, 04:59:08 PM
I'm having the exact opposite drama with my fc ute. It was Hialeah green but I think I prefer grey, but I don't want it to look too much like primer it will have to be real glossy if I go grey
