1  For Sale and Wanted / Parts Wanted / Re: Extractors on: October 16, 2003, 09:18:06 AM

Rob
Yes you are right about the freight costs being cheaper from that side of the straight. I think that is the way i will have to go as the local servo's here tend to make themselves a handsome little profit . for eg: i priced a new windscreen for a jeep (fitted) $750.oo
   melb price $360.oo
so for the cost off a new screen and a wheel alignment($130.oo here) I can send my car off the island, which is what i may have to do
Know any good exhuast shops ?  Sad

   Cheers dean

Thanks Slim & Aaron
I am interested in what both of you guys have on offer, but unfortunetley i live on King Island (tas) and this maybe a problem due to freight cost ect, do you have any idea what sort of costs would be involved to get it to at least melb ?.
                         Thanks Dean.

G'day Trent
Sorry about the delay in the reply. Ken is spot on the mark, and he would know more about my fc than i would. As far as i can make out from my id plate it is the original paint scheme, however i am sure when i brought the fc Rob told me the car was repainted several years back. I havent any more photos at the moment as i have been very busy and dont even get the time to drive her much, but the times i have has been great and  the only thing that has let me down is the generator so with a little bit of help from another thread that John M posted about generator to alternator conversion i will be able to rectify that problem (thanks John ) Other than that it has been a dream to drive.

I was wondering Ken if i supplied you with all my fc's details you could tell me a bit more about its history and any other details you have would be great as i think you may have a bit more info on the old girl  than me.

Cheers deajenn

12  General / General Board / Insurance Cheap ? on: March 27, 2003, 10:22:01 AM
Hi guys
I have just recived a quote from Vigil insurance to insure my fc for a agreed value of $5000 the price was $146.00, with an excess of $400.00.It sounds a bit on the cheap side to me. Has anybody had dealings with this company before and more to the point are they reputable company, no use insuring with a company that wont pay up come judgement day. Or can anybody else suggest a good insurer with a good record.

13  General / General Board / Re: Too many Ebay links in our "For Sale" listing on: March 26, 2003, 11:34:42 AM
Hi guys
for what its worth i find the links to ebay very handy as i am not one to surf ebay very much. I am to tempted to get side tracked onto other things. But i can see your point about other posts being pushed down very quickly.
