Finally ready to go.  Doing our trial camp in the back yard to make sure we have everything for our 4 week holiday.
13 days, 12 and a half hours till we drive out of Townsville.  At this stage leaving at 8am on  the Saturday.  We do have a 21st birthday party for one of our girls on the Friday night so will see how we go.
Very excited now.

Candy and Fred.

You'll be fine with that setup.  We did Melbourne to Perth and return in our Teardrop for the last Nationals.

Har har yep maybe a boat not a board. We are free camping outside of Emerald. Just had a big black bull mastiff dog wonder into the camp. Yep changing undies. Lucky was very friendly and had a phone number on his collar. Home safely.

Whoops sitting in the pub updating. Don't know how to change them up the right way on and iPhone. Have a few beers and you will be able to see them properly.

Ok well big day. After the first 3 hours I remembered what 16 000 kms was like on a bench seat. How many moves can you make? Feet up on the dash, on the parcel shelf, under me, other side, pillows behind back, pillows under butt, my favourite pillows on door and feet on driver. Sometimes Fred forgets it's my stinky feet and rubs them. Let's all do the bench seat shuffle. Seen a few animals, brolgas, emus, Goanna, blue tounge lizard, sheep, cows, and don't forget the donkeys. Lots of waster over the road signs around Injune to Hebel. Had 9 inches in the last week. (Rain that is) staying at the caravan park tonight. Going to do some sight seeing around Parkes tomorrow. Talk then.

Yes I know what you mean about a bench seat . Would drive my FE Holden from south of Brisbane to Thargomindah When I worked out there . Some times would hook choke cable to the throttle linkage so I could put both legs up on the bench . How safe was that ? Anyway good luck on your trip . It sounds like your having a great time. Cheers Haydn
