I've seen worse Dean.Just remember that there would be about 30% more rust than what you can see on the outside so always cut out more than the bare minimum.Keep up the good work and more pics please.Jamie

Hi Jamie, was taken as encouragement Smiley.  Yours was one of a number of threads that inspired me to try some home repairs. The good thing is, if you fluff-up you can cut it out & do it again Grin.

Thanks Deano, I am finding it very theraputic bashing the crap out of things Grin.

Cheers,
          Dean.

My name is Dean too Jamie so I think u meant that for the other Dean. Jamie, u are pretty hard on youself I reckon, U must lay there at night worrying about stuff right? I am a bit the same, I have to try and try til its all really good. If I cant do it to a certain standard then Ill usually opt to get someone else to do it if funds permit.

Dean, keep the pics going. It makes me more daring to try things that I wouldn't normally try if I see guys picking up tool they aren't using all the time. Well done.

Hi Joe,

Mate I saw you drive past....I was at work Sad. Kids had BMX on in the afternoon, so that killed the drags idea. Hope you had a good day.

Work on the Taxi has stopped for the moment as I am trying to get the grey & white car back on the road. The joys of old cars Cheesy.

Cheers,
          Dean.

Been doing a few rust patches on the Taxi, was going well until a little drop of lead hit my foot. I started to melt it to find out what was lurking underneath & found a little less metal than what I expected  Shocked.
