If you haven't grown up by 50, you don't have to.

Thanks Pedro. Its not just me wanting to see your car finished. I think the whole bloody world is.

Nick the steering wheel is a bit of trickery. I could not afford the $1200 quoted for the Pearl steering wheel so this is my Steering wheel shorted by a couple of inches and painted. It looks great and I saved $1200.

Well done bud, she'll be on the road before you know it. Then you can sit down ,have a beer or two and say to yourself "shit that was all worth the pain and money.

I also had an aluminium Glovebox made as I was not convinced I had enough room for hoses and the aircon under the dash. If I need to take a notch out of the glovebox to make the unit fit better I can. Also I might want to anchor the AC unit to the glovebox or the hose to the vent on the side could be secured to the glovebox if needed.

Previous posts show the new central dash(old radio) with the air vents and air vents on both sides of the dash.
The demister will be hooked up to the existing  fibreglass demister vents. Will post some photo's next week on how the unit itself fits up there. Hope this helps those who might want to use Vintage.

Thanks Wayne, look foreward to see the photos of the fit up. I notice they sell that to suit small coupes and pick ups ,do you think it would be enough for a sedan?

Sorry Matt forgot to respond. Dependent on weather may get some colour on door trims and dash in a week or so. Getting interesting.

Hey Wayne,

Did you get all of the Aircond stuff from carshop inc because Vintage air wouldn't deal direct with you? Or was it cheaper than through Vintage air directly?

Where are you going to get your condenser from?

Am in the same stage for getting stuff myself.

Cheers

Did not try Vintage air direct. Have got a few things from carshop inc and they seem to have it under control. Prices seem OK as well.

Some happy snaps showing the colour. After much thought I really like the light blue.

Getting nearer the end. Had to change the seats. The land rover bucket proved difficult. Not everything runs to plan.

Is your seat position comfy or a little high ?

Im no lay the seat back home boy but i love my FE sitting down in the seat.
I have a new 200 series cruiser and it is really annoying me being fairlly tall i nearlly hit the roof and the height adjuster is fully down.
