Hi Guys,

Cyclone Larry - Show N Shine Fund Raiser.

Pacemaker Holden Vs Ford Super Sunday - Penrith - May 7th

This event is to assist those people affected by Cyclone Larry in the Innisfail Area.

The Motoring Fraternity of Sydney and Australia will join together at the Penrith Panther’s Exhibition Centre and the surrounding area in one of the biggest Motoring Day’s ever to “Do our Bit” to help the Folks devastated by Cyclone Larry.

The planning for this event started the day after the Cyclone and from Day one a small group of volunteers in Sydney, Adelaide, Melbourne and Queensland have worked solid to establish this Big Day.

The big issue for AME was how do we make this happen when we have the Perth Autoteknica on April 7-9 and our inaugural Tasmanian Event… The Hobart International Motor Show on May 26 - 28. A comment came from deep in our office……we have Cars, an office to work in, power, phones, water, sewerage and a home to go to and many of the Cyclone affected still won’t have these amenities in12 months….we have to make it happen! ENOUGH SAID, it’s time for action.

At 4.10pm last Friday 24/3/06, the Penrith venue was booked and away we go.

The event is open to everything on wheels from Bikes to Trucks in any make or model and will be everything we can throw at it in 7 hours. It will open to the Public at 10am on Sunday 7th May and will run until 5pm. The Venue has enough “Perfectly Grassed Area” for 1200 Cars…. And we hope to fill it.

There will be entertainment a plenty with Live Bands, DJ, Demonstrations, Auction (this will be HUGE), Dyno Challenge, Trade Stands, Visiting Celebrities from all walks of life plus you and all your friends.

The TV and Radio Stations will be plugging the event for Free to do their bit and a small army of volunteers will make it all happen.

The event is six weeks away and gives us plenty of time to get set. We already have most things in place and a host of Exhibitors wanting to be part of it.

Entry for cars into the GOOD GUY‘S SUNDAY is $30 which will include your partner and 2 Children. Other Donations can be made at various activities during the Day. Entry into the Dyno Challenge is an extra $30. Public entry through the gate will be $10.

All information and Entry Forms and on the following link -

Lets help make a difference

SYDNEY’S MOTORING FRATERNITY EMBRACES CHARITY EVENT

One of the largest ever One Day Motor Shows in Australia will be held at the Penrith Panthers Exhibition Centre and surrounding grounds on Sunday May 7th 2006.

This is the first event of its type held in Sydney to raise much needed funds for the needy.

2006 will concentrate on the Innisfail region where thousands are still homeless and without power and sanitation 4 weeks after Cyclone Larry! The event will subsequently be held annually with the funds raised going DIRECTLY to other unfortunate Circumstances and Charities that the Motoring Fraternity deems suitable recipients… we welcome your suggestions.

Support for the Show is running extremely high with over 30 different car clubs and a host of private individuals representing various Makes and Models already registering entries for the Show. More clubs are expected to join the event over the next few weeks.

Every vehicle entered into the Show will get a Framed Certificate of Appreciation from the event sponsors, Pacemaker Headers and Shannons Insurance. The will also be a number of other trophies and prizes on the day that have been generously donated by all types of companies and individuals. The South Australian Street Machine Association had an Easter Charity Cruise to also benefit the event plus the “Cairns Show Society” has donated a trophy… A copy of the certificate is shown below.

Entry forms and more information on the event can be obtained or collected from the Shannons office at Unit B 12 Frederick Street St Leonard’s or the Pacemaker Headers NSW Distributor… Ultimate Exhaust / Injection Perfection at Drover Rd in the Bankstown Airport Complex or by visiting http://www.ameshow.com.au; and click on the “Good Guy’s Charity Sunday” Page

The Good Guy’s Charity Sunday is for everybody regardless of brand preference and will also embrace Round One of this years Holden V Ford series and include the NSW leg of the 2006 Pacemaker Header Australian Horsepower Championship and Shannons Australian Showcar Championship… with competitors vying for the Ultimate Prize – “AUSTRALIA 1” visit http://www.ameshow.com.au/us_tour/us_tour.htm for more details on the best prize in the Australian Showcar / Dyno Scene.

There will be a full day of action and Entertainment from Bands to DJ’s to DYNO to Auctions plus Trade stands, Apparel, Memorabilia, Performance parts and much more.
