I still need a water pump, pushrods and a new flex plate to complete my motor, due to a second pulley in front of the water pump/alt pulley I want a short pump, also I only have electric fans, no engine fan.
I have noticed the later model blue and black motors have a much dearer pump, does this pump work better than a red pump?, does it last longer? does it fit the red block ok?

I think you will find the dearer pump will be the heavy duty bearing one for the extra weight hanging of the front of the pump. viscous hub (fan),air cond. etc.

cheers
