Liverpool Regional Museum is holding an exhibition on the racing history of Warwick Farm, from 3 December - 25 February.
The official opening (by Leo Geoghegan) is this Saturday 10 December at midday, and an invitation has been received by the NSW Club to participate.
Apparently the exhibition includes artworks specially commissioned, historical photographs, film footage and Bob Jane's Brabham race-car on display.

I'm told that reporters and photographers from Unique Cars, Street Machine, Aust Muscle Car (and possibly others) will be in attendance, so it could be a good promotional opportunity.

FARM GOES BEYOND HORSEPLAY
Charge your engines for an exciting ride through Liverpool’s race history with Horsepower – The History of Warwick Farm.
Over the past 125 years Warwick Farm has played an instrumental role in the growth and development of the Liverpool region. Over the past century Warwick Farm was not only a centre for horse racing but played an integral role in the establishment of motor racing, which makes it one of the most significant sites in the history of leisure and recreation in Australia.
Warwick Farm not only helped to put Liverpool on the map from a national perspective, it also provided the area with an international reputation through horse racing and motor sports. Its use as a training ground for Australian troops, and later a domiciliary base for the U.S. and the British during World War II, helped it become an integral site for historical preservation. Horsepower allows the viewer to honour a historical site and recognise its social, economic and cultural development.
By honouring South West Sydney’s icon, even the most avid racing fan can take something new and unexpected away from this unique exhibition of old and new.
The unique themes of Warwick Farm made it an inspiring subject for the highly regarded commissioned artists, who have all worked to present a visual plethora of artworks that reach beyond the common expectations of sports-art.
Working with paint, animation and photography, artists Liam Benson, Sadie Chandler, Judith Duquemin and Mariusz Jastkowiak have created a range of innovative new artworks that reflect the gift of Warwick Farm’s existence. History, culture, abstract colour and classic designs are interweaved to create a poetic social commentary, making this exhibition a unique opportunity for race enthusiasts and local community members alike.
Horsepower – The History of Warwick Farm also includes a carefully selected collection of objects, images, film footage and oral histories that relate specifically to the site.
The exhibition launch on Saturday 10 December 2005, 12am – 4pm, will feature guest speaker, a 50-year veteran of the motor-sport industry, Mr Leo Geoghegan.
Don’t forget to bring your most impressive car to the launch, although be warned – Bob Jane’s 1960s Repco Brabham (featured for the duration of the exhibition) will be very hard to beat!
