I'm still after an Aerial Cable to connect the aerial to the Air Chief radio.  The base of the aerial is threaded with a centre prong and the radio is a push in fit.

In the mean time I'll fit a modern aerial until I get the right cable to install the original Air Chief Aerial again.

Try this guy - Keycom at info@keycom.com.au  His name is Brad.

He may be able to make one up for you as he is a whiz at old 2way radio parts.

Hi Leon, thanks for asking, but I haven't heard anything back as yet.

I fitted an $8.00 supercheap aerial for now, just to have an Air Chief radio that works.  I also wanted to check that it did work after getting it repaired.  It works just fine, great tone and all.

I'll fit the Air Chief aerial back into the FC when I get a cable with a threaded loose nut that fits.

I also bought another aerial with cable (already connected as one piece) at a VIC Swap Meet on Sunday.  After Tony G bought a couple, I figured they must be OK for an FC.   Wink

cheers Kevin
