I know if I was to pay in excess of $99 it would remain NOS and be in a glass display cabinet.
Jim
PS, Unless I really really needed one to finish of a car.

Hi Guys. Yes, a NOS one is bloody rare. Even one second hand, with the paint still in the script is rare. They usually have dings, or bumps from where the incorrect bolt has been screwed through from behind. I imagine this may go for $120 $150. But, as per usual, it is "Whoever wants it most & has the biggest $$ to spend".

It would certainly "scoope" out your kidneys if hit by one attached to a bonnet travelling at speed.

I have to say that the FE guard spear is not rare in Victoria. There are numberous NOS spears at swap meets here going for about $50. I won't even buy them at that price, I have bought them for as low as $20 NOS in the wrapper even.

Hmmm. I didn't realise they were that common over on the mainland. When David Mitchell pranged his FE, it shagged one of his spears. I advertised on this board looking for one & didn't have any luck. I ended up, finding one down here on a wreck. It needed a little work, but it did the job.
