This is a 1951 Allard P1 Monte Carlo coupe.  It must be French, just look at it Tongue  But it's not, it's English, built by Sidney Allard and the first British winner of the famous Monte Carlo Rally.  Everything else must have run and hid...

There's easily an extra foot in the track of the front wheels over the back ones.  At least I presume there are two back wheels, maybe it's from the same town as the Reliant Robin and 3 wheeled Morgan!

What a shocking looking piece of engineering.  Just my opinion Grin

A bit of googling confirms I'm not alone in finding it less than gorgeous.  Only 559 of them were built between 1948 and 1952, and they ran Ford / Mercury motors.

cheers

Morgan meets Hillman.

Only an Englishman would fancy that, you found the proof!
