This is my and Charlie's plan for our trips to Perth. We are starting together in Sydney, diverging at Young, joining up again at Hay through to Norseman, then splitting through to Woodman Point.
We would be happy to travel with others along the way.
The attached image is my plan along with a Nullabor fuel stops chart that I picked up from a Grey Nomad site.

 Hi Geoff,
 
 A couple of points from personal experience -

 Fuel at Penong and Nundroo is the last of the cheaper stuff heading west. Last time we drove through there was fuel at Yalata again which has been closed for years, it was cheap as well but don't take that as gospel as I have only seen it the one time. We normally fuel at Penong then Nullarbor , then Border Village.
 Overnight at Mundrabilla then stop at Cocklebiddy then Caiguna for fuel and the obligatory photo at the sign then Balladonia then Norseman.
 

 Madura Pass roadhouse is  a dump , try and avoid if possible, we have stayed there 3 times over the last 20 years and every time the rooms are filthy, dirty sheets etc. Never again.

 Mundrabilla roadhouse is a good stop , I had one of the best steak dinners I have ever had there last year , the station processes its own meat 

 I see you are looking at Wave Rock , the straight road from Norseman to Hyden is dirt, good dirt but dirt nevertheless. If you are looking to go to Wave Rock/Hyden best to go the long way if you value your paintwork. You can head North or South from Norseman to get there , much of  a muchness.

Thanks for the advice, we will evaluate as we go along: depending on the weather; where we elect to stop; etc.
I have 'some idea' about the motels, cabins and truck stops along the Nullabor, as we traveled 'west to east' last year in our Motorhome.
On fuel prices, I might have to use up emergency jerrycans to bypass the really expensive outlets.

I've just booked my accommodation -

Friday 11/4 Cobar Central Motor Inn
Saturday 12/4 Broken Hill Comfort Inn Crystal
Sunday 13/4 Wudinna Hotel/Motel
Monday 14/4 Eucla Hotel/Motel
Tuesday 15/4 Fraser Range Station
Wednesday 16/4 Merredin (to be booked)

On Friday 11/4 I'm thinking of leaving around sunup, taking the Bells Line of Road to Lithgow, stopping at "the Hub" at Bathurst for the morning break, fuel at Wellington, lunch at Narromine and a comfort stop at Nyngan.  Dodge goats and 'roos into Cobar.

Saturday 12/4 I may stop at the Emmdale Roadhouse for a cuppa, the McCullochs Range rest area for a comfort stop, Little Topar for fuel and lunch, and cruise into Broken Hill in the mid-afternoon.

Sunday 13/4, depending on what time I get away from Broken Hill, the famous Yunta Creek crossing for a short break, Peterborough for fuel and Kimba for something to eat.

Monday 14/4 - morning tea, fuel and a few deep breaths at Ceduna, lunch and fuel at the Nullarbor Roadhouse.  Arrival time at Eucla depends on strength of headwinds.

Tuesday 15/4 - morning break at Madura, fuel and more food at Caiguna, fuel and coffee at Balladonia.

Wednesday 16/4 - morning break and fuel at Norseman, an early lunch at Kalgoorlie (or Coolgardie), fuel and coffee at Southern Cross.

Thursday 17/4 will be an easy cruise from Merredin to Perth.

(Anybody might think I've done this drive before . . . )
