A question for the all knowing, my L/H sunvisor has broken so I am attempting to repair it. Upon removing it I noted that the part number (7409689) is followed by LH, I removed the R/H visor and sure enough it has a different part number (7409690) followed by RH. I have been unable to discern a difference between the two. Can someone enlighten me. Regards Doug

Hi Doug,
I can't find those part numbers in any Holden parts catalogue. My guess is that they have been replaced with Vauxhall or another GM part.
The sunvisor shaft and support part numbers are Left hand 7409905 and Right hand 7409906 for all FE/FC models.
They must be different left and right or else Holden would have used the same part number.

Cheers Stewy  Cool

Trivia for today: Apparently Holden always assigned the right hand part number as an even number (hence the left as odd number)  Wink

Thanks for the info. The sunvisors are definitely GMH parts and I cannot remember having replaced them, but they could have been sourced from another model i.e. FB or EK.

Casting numbers of Individual components don't seem to be listed in the MPC when they were serviced as an assembly. Numbers Stewy quotes will be the assembled item in luding tensioning screws. I thought left and right were interchangeable. Got a box of them on the shed so better check.

Left and right not interchangeable they look the same but have a different angle once installed. If you try and swap them the arm will hit the hoodlining
