They should be the same left and right, but they may not be. Front wheel bearings changed mid FE. Early FE had FJ wheel bearings and late FE had FC onwards bearings.
If I were you I would take them out and check before buying.

John,

f.y.i.: the inner diameters are 0.6875" i.e. 11/16" i.e. 17.47 mm and 1.125" i.e. 1-1/8" i.e. 28.58 mm for the earlier bearings, and

0.750" i.e. 3/4" i.e. 19.05 mm and 1.25" i.e. 1-1/4" i.e. 31.75 mm for the later bearings.

Original part numbers:

Early front wheel inner bearing (ID 1.125", OD 2.375"): 7408849
Early front wheel outer bearing (ID 0.6875", OD 1.750"): 7408852

Late front wheel inner bearing (ID 1.250", OD 2.328"): 7413406
Late front wheel outer bearing (ID 0.750", OD 1.781"): 7413409

Thanks very much , Ken & Rob , I do recall way back there was a problem with the bearings . & I had to take them back to get the correct ones . I worry too much & im sure the ones on the car will be ok . I try to pre/empt problems . Ie prevention is better than the cure . Especially with our fourth Nullarbor trip coming up . Cheers . John
