Updates? Here are some samples for you  Undecided
"we're working on it"
"we're not far away now"
"soon"
"our guy who does something is away and it will be a little longer"
"our guy is back but there are other orders in front of yours"
"I'll get back to you with an update"
"we're still working on it"
etc, etc, etc

I email them at least once a month but usually every fortnight, with so much money tied up in this (I had to pay in full up front) don't worry I will be screaming out to everyone when it gets here  Grin

13 months since laying down the money ....... NOTHING  Angry

Just in case you are wondering what I am up against, here's a sample :

Thanks for the reassurance Doug, it's never been a question of "if" but "when".
You were initially shooting for "three weeks" and we are now coming up on the anniversary of me laying down a substantial amount of money, if it were in a term deposit at least I would be earning some interest.
I have had otherwise keen customers remove themselves from my notification list to settle for lesser products and the promise of a solid timeline.
It has also been disappointing to hear of other Australians receiving their orders in a more timely manner than me.,

Throw me a bone, please!

I will try to do that.

...... any news on the rooflining? Or did he mean August 2014  2015!

I'm surprise the bloke has the balls to write back at all after so long. It's amazing how the distance makes some feel there's little risk in treating clients like this. I really hope it eventuates for you.

We should start a fund raiser to raise funds for Stinky to go to the states and confront the guy.  It would be interesting to see what excuses he comes up with when face to face with stinky.

May be this way would be safer.

http://www.consumerfinance.gov/complaint/

Consumer Financial Protection Bureau

What happens after I submit a complaint?
We’ll forward your complaint to the company and work to get a response. After we forward your complaint, the company has 15 days to respond to you and the CFPB. Companies are expected to close all but the most complicated complaints within 60 days. You’ll be able to review the response and give us feedback.
If we find that another agency would be better able to assist, we will forward your complaint and let you know.

I guess the last sentence refers to the kneecap breakers.

If he's a small fella, I would say none as he would probably start running, with me at 6'4" and 120+kg I would be on the cards  Grin

Anyway, the wagon cargo lining is confirmed to be on the way and they have the address correct (no stop-over in Austria this time  Roll Eyes )
It's currently in Melbourne.

A short update.

Cargo Vinyl - I have pieced together a complete old set of cargo vinyl and will soon be working on a repro kit.

Swirly Roof lining - apparently it left Melbourne last Thursday and is due to be delivered today or tomorrow, at this stage I am hoping it is the off-white colour that was promised  Undecided

Prices are yet to be determined as SMS decided that they didn't charge me enough the first time around and hit me for another $400  Angry

Screw you around for several years before delivering something that was only supposed to take weeks, and then renege on the agreed price?

They've got balls, I'll give them that.  Roll Eyes

I can confirm the colour looks good under the fluoros of my workshop and the weight is much better than the first batch they sent over. At least SMS come up with quality goods when they eventually delivery the right order.
Cheeky buggers saw fit to use my roll to send a sample to someone though, a brand new roll with a 3cm x 3cm piece cut out of it  Roll Eyes

It would have been smarter to cut a piece off the full width of the roll.

Anyway, it's great news that comes only from your persistence & patience.
Looking forward to some photos.
