fuel tank

I have an fc ute and have put I a vn v6 motor. The trouble I have is the exhaust system is running where the fuel tank should be.Would it be possible to move the tank forward. The problem is fabricating a tank that will hold enough fuel because of the transmission  tunnel or dose any one already make a tank for this set up.

You could put the tank in the tray area under the rear window. Filler would go through the rear quarter forward of the original position.
I put an upright tank out of an early Mazda into the boot of an FC sedan many years ago and it worked well.

Try this build. I unashamedly copied what Pete had done in my build HAVIN A GO. Some 50mm box as a frame fitted an 80 litre commodore tank in perfectly. I used some straps on top to bolt down.

I answered this in another fuel tank topic yesterday???
Anyway put em through the springs.
This is prob what I'll end up doing.

And dump em out each side as per engineer suggestion

Now that's a good solution dose it retain the original fuel tank because I would like to increase the capacity
