Ok all
By a long shot does someone have a touchup tin or a piece of car glove box or surround in fountain blue ?
Pete
Pete, yes either would be good.
I went through this trying to match an original green & then many years later trying to match the 'new' paint.
In theory both should have been an identical code but advice to me was that a paint formula wasn't really the answer. There are too many variants that influence the final shade, including the range of thinners that could be used.
If you have no joy locally or in Melbourne, another option could be Allard Paints Distributors in Canberra (02 6239 1377). Ideally, a reference to start with would be easier & quicker - e.g. something reasonably flat to scan (like the glovebox lid example) or any sample swatch.
I had some good wheels which were used as a sample. These couldn't be scanned because of the curved shape but the result using their swatch system was great.
Even without a reference I think they would find the right colour.
Happy to deal at the counter on your behalf if it helps. Dave.
