I visited former club member Sid today, and he showed me his latest project, a wall plaque model of an FC. He'll be making them to order, and they can be painted or plain if you prefer to do it yourself. There are plans for an FE model as well, you'll be pleased to know.

Prices and more details to follow as it gets closer to being a finished product. Sid would like to gauge interest, hence the poll.

Sid with the model.

Mounted

Close-up of the grille.

Optional modified look will also be available.

Blast from the Past

Anyone who attended the 8th FE-FC Holden Nationals will remember the awesome FE and FC model trophies, that were Sid's handiwork. He is also responsible for the model I sometimes display with my car.

All hand painted by me. A PITA, by the end of them I wasn't real happy I put my hand up for that job.  Undecided
They were a unique trophy that if you were lucky enough to win one, would look great in the poolroom.
The new plaques look cool. Well done Sid.

They look great. I am interested in in the FE especially if it was a wagon. What is the price?

Thanks

I really appreciate my 2 Alex, They have been on prominant display since the Nats - I have received countless comments on them and cannot recommend the maker of these models highly enough - fantastic effort.

I am very interested guys I am wondering if Sid will paint them to our colour choice or if he was just going to do a standard paint job if that was the case then I would get one unpainted and paint it myself.

Look forward to seeing the price etc.

Yes, it was remiss of me not to mention that the painting of those plaques we used as trophies was done by Alex. Every last one was different - modified paint jobs for modified class trophies, FEs and FCs as appropriate and so on.

Anyone lucky enough to receive one should treasure it.

Another variation: Olinda Green over Adobe Beige

(I think the colour is a bit vibrant from being taken in the high sun.)

I was at Sid's shop today, he still has a few of these on display, and some have been discounted.

Prices were between $55 and $75. Contact Sid if you're interested, on 0432 355 098. You can even get a great haircut while you're there. Smiley

cheers
