Hi All
Unfortunately it seems that there is more rust in the sills and doors than I originally thought.
As the property it is at is being sold and I have no room at home she has to go. Any reasonable offer will be accepted, otherwise she is off to scrap.
Cheers
Jim

Hi Colin,
Thanks for thinking of me. If it wasn't so far away, I'd have already picked her up and dragged her home to Melbourne. She's all yours.
Pinky.

I spoke with Jim today. I'm waiting for Ken to (hopefully) decipher the plate as this may be a single tone Special. I would buy this car to wreck, but I am reluctant to do this if it is a single tone car.
If it is, I would prefer it to go to someone to restore.
Colin.

Dare I say it is safe to wreck - it was originally an Adobe Beige over Olinda Green with green and black interior. Front seat is still original and you can see some green around the engine bay.

I looked at this car today. It is a 58 1/2 model. Roof, bonnet, guards and lower doors green, boot, upper quarters and door frames beige. (I think I got that right.) It does have the usual rust, some also in the cowl. It would not be beyond saving by any means. There is a time issue I believe, 1 or 2 weeks. The firewall has been modified to suit triple carbs, which would be why the battery has been moved. This is also why I couldn't find the subframe number.
I would really prefer someone to take this car with a view to restoration. If I take it, which I will be if it is there next week, it will get wrecked. I'm not in the position to take on another resto project, I already have one on the go, let alone my other cars. I will not let it go to scrap.
The fact that it is a rarer model (58 1/2) surely makes it more interesting. (I'm not an FC fan, FE's are my thing)
Colin.

I found the subframe number: FC 30825 S. It reads from the back to the front standing over the guard. Aren't they usually the other way around? Big sloppy letters too.
Colin.
