I guess I am not the only person to have just received this email from Trax:

Quote
The launch of the FE made front page news across the nation when the all new Holden was revealed to an eager public. As the first new body shape since the original Holden in 1948, everyone was eager to buy one and experience the updates and changes, including taxi companies who wanted to be the first with the new model.

Based on the mid range Business Sedan, the De Luxe cab company was one of the first to update their fleet and still remains one of the most recognised liveries for cab companies nationally. When released 15 years ago the FC De Luxe taxi took the record for the fastest selling model in Trax's history so be quick with your order as this model is bound to follow suit!

I have ordered mine.

Cheers

There was a series called "Taxis of the World" who did a 1956 FE De-Luxe Red Cab a few years ago, same scale and die cast as well, not sure what the company name was though it was OS

It will be interesting to see how they compare, below are some pics

Note the full length bonnet spear and the Holden script on the rear guards

I got this brochure last week like everyone else, and to be honest was a little disappointed but unsurprised by the lack of attention to detail. I appreciate that the moulds and pressings are being re-used, and it's probably not reasonable to expect them to make a new casting for each new model, but still...

Front bumper, boot-badge, front indicators, quarter window frames are a few things I noticed. Would it kill Top Gear to run these models past an expert before they make them?

Having said all that, I've ordered mine Wink

It irritates me too because they get me to supply colours for the models but will not let me check the final product

I'm not doing any more Tongue

Due to the success of their FC Deluxe Red Cab I wouldn't mind betting they have made heaps of these, I would like to know the production numbers of both

I might pass on this one, "The Taxis of the World" FE I posted earlier in this thread has a few oddities also, so I'll stick with that
