Hi Guys, Finally got to steal a camera from a mate for more snaps. Have a peek at http://photo.starblvd.net/fevanv6 bottom of page 1 and start of page 2 for the latest, including brake booster, front discs, petrol tank, radiator, some wiring etc. Here is also one from the paint shop. Hi Jason,
Nice work.. looks like all that time is paying off.
That fuel tank is gob smacking.. nice work there! Question ( oh no...) do u run rubber EFI fuel hoses the length of the vehicle?
Comparing the van u pulled out from the banana tree and the work in progress there, is pretty unbelievable..
hope those kwaka blinkers are going back on..
Cant wait to see it!
One shot i found interesting (besides all the rest) was of the airbag .. how did u manage to unload it?
steering shaft looks like it required alot of thought too.

Hi guys, The fuel tank was made to suit the gap where the original fuel tank went, just deeper to the front of the car and slightly smaller to the back for ground clearance. Total capacity about 90litres. I used steel lines from the engine to the raised section under the body for the diff, then fitted connections trough the floor to take the rubber lines to the tank. With the airbag Ed, it went off in the Vt donor car when it had the accident, all I have done is cut it out to stop it from getting the way. I will get a replacement cover for the wheel. Although I could fit the airbag and pre-tensioning seat belts, as all of the wiring is still there. but don't really know the consequence of the airbag going off in the FE so haven't done it. Jason, Looks like a top job, congratulations. I noticed in the earlier pics that your van had what appear to be sliding windows in the front, if you haven,chucked them or sold them I would be interested, as I only have plain glass in my panelvan & I want to fit a rear seat, they would be good for ventilation.

Gary - I have a set of sliding windows for the drivers side of a van. These came from a 3 door FC van I wrecked. The glass is broken, but frames are in good order.

The colour is from Crysler and is called Wildberry, belonging to the PT Cruiser that I swiped it from.
Hopefully registered in about 3 weeks.
Many troubles with chrome though, still to get bits done, probably have to paint the bumperettes until the others come back.

This Van looks absolutely shmich mate .
I get on the forum ,get the usual updates and keep finding myself going back to your photos for yet another look.
An absolute credit to you as has already been said but Im with ED ,Bring back the quakka turn signals.
And Cairns is definitely in for a big shock - I just wish you had this on the road when I lived there ,It needed more eye candy the ol Bruce hwy.
