That light blue looks real sweet, are you going to chrome it out or just leave it bare? See, there is light at the end of the tunnel.

All bling. Its all with the chromer now. Hoping it will be ready this week.

Thanks Jim. Stash, Wasim, Craig d, Pete, TTV6fc, JB, fe350chev for your recent comments and everyone else that has passed on words of encouragement.

Things I still have to do

  • Paint colour and type

  • Photo's of Aircon install (probably tomorrow)

Run out of time very quickly at the moment.

At least you are nearing the end of your build, unlike myself and a few others on the forum, I'm sure we would all like to be in your position. I've been a bit slack of late, have'nt done much on the body, but have been doing a few other things that need doing. I'll pull my finger out and start back on the body next week, work permitting. Did you find a lock for the spare wheel door?

No luck Jim. No hurry it's only a dummy door now that the commodore tank is in.

Some more photo's of the colour and the Vintage Aircon.

The paint is an acrylic and paint colour is Wedgewood Blue, GMH - Berger 1960. Hope that helps those that know.

The vintage Air installed. Did not need to touch the glove box.

Plenty of leg room.

The wiper motor in place.

Purchased all of the rubber bits for the doors today. Should be in this weekend. Chrome people slowing me down now. I guess everyone has heard that before. Maybe finished in 2 weeks.
"In the Vat" was the expression used. Hope thats not the same as "Cheques in the mail" Grin

Anyway the post was specifically about the paint colour and how the baby Vintage Air fitted.

Craig I will be running the original. It is getting a complete rebuild as we speak.

I went in to buy maroon paint but none left. Could not buy for love nor money. They were giving away the sky blue for nothing so I thought I would take up the offer while the going was good. Grin

I do understand it has been going cheap for 6 years but not many takers in this part of the world.

I love your dash centre. Very steampunk. Did vintage air make that part or you?

BTW what seats did you end up using? And the seat rails worked ok?
I'm thinking of buckets, and I'm pretty tall, but have no idea what to use.

Dean at this stage going to keep the steelies. Maybe some dress trims.

Pinky the dash centre I had made. An old mate does Alloy welding so had it shaped and then welded.

If you haven't grown up by 50, you don't have to.
