FE FC are flat plate  basically  with shock mount  and use U bolts to hold the diff to the springs .. HR are are pressed plate arrangement  that fits around the sides of the spring with a location for  the sandwitch  rubber pressed in to them  and have the same style mount on the diff  and are held together around the spring  with bolt and nut not U bolts ...A picture would been much easer  Shocked Shocked......FC427.....

I got an EH diff with hr brakes etc it is 3.36 ratio and I bought new HR disc brake type wheel cylinders and bolted them in. So I got what I needed without having to find an actual HR diff and it was a trade for some gear I had so it was a pretty good deal.
