I am hoping someone might have a stuffed rusted out and totally rooted van that I can get donor sections from to fill the front section of the sides where windows were put in. Obviously the louvres need to be in it otherwise I may as well just put in new sheet infills. Even the original louvre sections and gauze screens would help if some one has some - please ........................

Please don't all rush me on this one - I am not setting my hopes too high.

Also seeking a GOOD ute - ha ha - we'll see about that one  Roll Eyes

Cheers all

Hi FC

Nope mate - not at all, lol !!!

I put that on there as a bit of a hook to see if I could find someone who may even offer to help me find the window infill, louvred sections I need to bring the body back to original. A sort of attention grabber of sorts as I am sure someone out there does have a rusted out body or sections, and steadfastly refuse to part with them in the faint hope that 'I might need that one day'

To be VERY honest though, if (and only IF) I could find a ute in as good a condition rust wise, then I could be tempted to swap but the old van is a nice old girl and doubt I would find too many as good as the basis for a modded vehicle and we DON'T alter original cars DO WE, lol (not much - and how boring it would be if they were all old stockers)

If anyone knows of anyway who can help out, how about it?

Cheers

Dave,

Try this on ebay at the moment. It's  a complete rear panel van cut.

Hi Neil,

Thanks mate, at last a glimmer of hope - I am in the North West of Sydney (Glenhaven). I'll PM you.

Hi Keith - I saw that one but $900 or more to get hold of two louvres was a bit pricey although I realise I could use or sell some of the other parts? hopefully Neil can help.

If anyone knows of anyone with the sides (front especially) or the stock louvres it would get things moving. Once I have those the work will start in earnest.

Thanks to those who have offered help or leads and FC don't panic mate the van will stay with me for a good while yet, lol!

Still would like a nice old ute too but I am hoping that once the van starts to circulate it will draw some leads on a ute.

Cheers,
