That's really hard to find this days bro. Try looking at car paint sites, they may be able to assist you or call your local car paint dealers.  Smiley

This van was awesome in it's day and deserves to be shown to those that are not familiar with it.
So, here are some scans from the above mentioned CV&T's.
Screwsville.

Some very cool features on this van. Check out those tasteful flares, the perspex inserts in the bonnet, the dash has the speaker grille removed and a custom insert with gauges replaces it, air intakes in the front bumper....

Here is the updated version, with "Todays Paint" on the side glass.

Some details from the text indicate that Robert lives(ed) in Launceston in Tas and that he is a signwriter and that the murals are his work. Would hazard a guess that "Todays Paint" was the name of his business. Robert was a member of the Van Diemans Rod and Custom Club. My guess is that he was a stalwart member, as the VD on his plates indicate his interest in the club. Is the club still going today?

Any of our Tas members able to shed some light?
Regards
Alex

the VD on his plates indicate his interest in the club.

Or perhaps the indication of his sexual health status as a result of owning such a fine vehicle.

nice van.. do love the flares and other custom bits.

reminiscent of a MkI Escort for some reason.

Cheers

If you haven't grown up by 50, you don't have to.

I remember seeing it at the Brisbane hot rod show, looked even better in real life, kept me awake many nights dreaming about it and what I could do to my wagon to make it like it, the airbrushed pic on the front door was from an easy riders(bike mag.)poster by Dave Mann called hollyweed, times certainly have changed since then though, we drove to the show in my wagon with a 22 rifle under the mattress in the back as we'd just got back from a shooting trip, we got pulled over by the cops but it was no big deal as you didn't even need a shooters licence in Qld then, nowadays they would have had the swat team out and I would have been arrested as a terrorist, thanks for sharing the pics Alex you definately stirred up a few old memories for me.
