I'm in need of an original jack with handle for an FE please. Does not have to be in brilliant condition. If it works and looks half reasonable (or will clean up okay) that's fine  Grin

Thanks Peter but I think these were used with the 48 and FJ series.

OK no problem, I have a blue scissor jack that looks like the one on Ebay, but I think it's from a later Holden model.  If I can find it in my shed I'll send you a pic.

Those bottle jacks were used on FE/FC vans, wagons and utes, Ken.

Are you looking for the original jack for an FE sedan?  The FE FC sedan jack is a scissor jack, the handle has a T shape end on it and it fits into a hole and slot in the jack. This is a pretty rare jack to find as it was replaced in the FB onwards by a scissor jack with a square drive end and a ratchet handle. This jack is easy to find.
The bottle jack was used for wagon van & ute as Rabbitoh says. The original bottle jack is orange and this is also a pretty easy jack to pick up.

If you are happy enough to go with the later jack you will get one easily. I have a couple as well including repro decals to use when restoring them. They were painted engine grey.

Hey Ken,heres a photo of a couple I have. The one on the left came out of an FE station sedan but are you saying that it is actually from an FB or later? The one on the right is the original one from our FJ standard sedan.I am interested in the decals for the scissor jack as I will be restoring it for my FC.Cheers,Jamie.

Yep the one on the left is out of FB or later model car, the bottle jack on the right is what would have been in the FE wagon. The decal for the jack on the left is $8. Send me a pm if interested

Thanks Grin

Ken, I knew the scissors jack was used for a number of models but wasn't sure of the difference between the FE / FC version and the later ones. I am running around with no jack at present so I need one sooner rather than later. I'll PM you regarding the ones you have.

Cheers.........Ken
