If you do see the car - I would be interested in the ID plate details as the green colour is certainly not a standard colour. If it has been faithfully copied from the original, then the codes might be something I have not seen before. On the other hand it may just be an unoriginal paint job.
I agree that is a brave statement. Maybe he hasn't seen to many FC's in his travels and his is the best of what he has seen.

And what about the condition of the dash surround? If you are going to try to convince people that it is the best in Oz,you probably need to have more than five photos (four of which are of the same side of the car) especially for those who can't pop in for a look....From the photos,it certainly is a nice looking car,but the best in Oz....Hmmm

I have seen the pictures of the car with the wedding ribbons on it before - possibly on this forum. Does it ring any bells for anyone else? Just remember that he is only marketing an item for sale and not saying that it actually is the best FC. Besides, I have possibly the best FC in the rest of the world over here in my garage!! Paul

Picking up Ken's comment, from my (limited) knowledge of two tone FCs the top colour on the interior of the doors generally reflects the top (flash) colour of the outside, which is not the case here. Dash top looks green too.
Fairly big call, I think.
Cheers John

Its like going to the races saying "I've got possibly the fastest car here!" You think people are going to stand around saying "Yeah he's probably right, why don't we all go home now?" Of course they're not, people are gonna want a race because they don't believe him. I for one am a very competitive person, if you say you've got possibly the best FC in Australia, then it better be bloody good. Now I know there are people here who think car shows are a waste of time and they wouldn't attend one, That's one side of the story and a valid place to stand. But I love shows, and I like to win. This is also a valid place to stand. So if you think we are harsh judging this guy then that's OK, I just see it as an invitation to compare when a claim is made which on the surface seems to be a bit rich. Ken

I think it represents an ideal base to be modified.
253 / traumatic...
would be beaut! lop off a few coils, would make the best car even better.
best bit no rust repairs required.
Cheers

Hey Paul,I have photos of this car on my computer from months ago when it was for sale on Ebay the first time and also had the ribbons on it.FC 427,you could say we are all being negative but I think the difference is that we (forum members) are comparing this car to some of the stunning cars that we have all seen either at shows or the nats or those owned by members of this forum whereas this particular seller is comparing his car to probably not much else. When I look at the five photos of this FC and compare it to probably at least 30 or more cars I saw at the nats this year,I cringe at the thought that this is possibly the best in oz.All just a matter of opinion and I think this is what the replies to this post are.Cheers,Jamie.
