anyone got a brake booster under the gaurd or hidden? i want to do it, my gaurds will be near impossible to remove once the car is back together so it needs to be servicable with the gaurd on.
my booster is a vh40.

Not true - it is still legal but must have a protection plate to keep stones etc from hitting the booster and lines.
Also a good idea to have a cover over the air inlet to stop water entering the booster.
We have fitted a number of these in the last few years and all have passed engineering.

l got "caught" mounting my booster under the guard, l was told by a brake "expert" that it didnt matter if it was on a angle, but air gets trapped in it & has to be bled seperately(pain in the arse)  Next time l'll mount it level!!!!  Apart from that its given me no trouble.  Daz.

Absolutely - bleeding is most critical in a VH40 but the booster can be mounted at an angle or even up side down as long as it is bled first then bolted in place.
