In an unfortunate incident, the fuel flap on my wagon was snapped clean off.

It was a VB-VL commodore type (no cable release).

since I need to fix it now, I was thinking of using an electric release door (since I will need a very long cable to reach the door).  Did any models of Commodore have an electrically released fuel flap or are they all cable type?

normally the locking pin is electrically released that is.

Cheers

Ed,
Holden Vectra (JR-JS) use an electric release for the fuel flap. You should be able to get an actuator from any Holden dealer for under $100. Part no. 90568457.

Of course, you could also try 2nd hand.
Hope this helps.

Cheers,

Graham

thanks gp,

got a VN fuel flap this morning and looks good because it is flush, will try the Vectra release or heaven forbid a Ford Falcon release.

my car has quite a few Ford parts LMAO.
