I have medium cutpile carpet, over the years it has been yet many times and is now splitting.
I want to take it out to scrub it up but am worried it will fall apart.
Is there any kind of iron on  or glue on way to repair the carpet?

Repairing carpet never seems to work so it may be better to just replace it with a new moulded carpet, with the colour and pile of your choice, assuming you have a standard floorpan.
They are cheap and tend to fit okay once you have let them settle down for a week or so.

The carpet is only about 6 years old, it was specailly made for the modified floor.
I was over $300 pre GST days

Contact Adhesive and some sort of backing material should do the trick. Hardware or Motor Trimmer Suppliers should have the contact adhesive.
