Finished putting my new calipers on the HR front end and one of the flexible hoses is leaking at one end.

I'm just wondering if its not unusual to bust an old flexible hose end when removing or if i've overtightened it?

I held the flexible hose end in place and tightened the thread on the brake line until tight, then held the brake line and gave the flexible hose one last small turn.

Is rare spares the only place to get flexible hoses from...they want about $50 each?

Did you fit new copper washers ?  It could be that is your only problem.
