just dragged out from under the bench
a grey with J86281 number, is this FE ?

This motor was originally out of a EJ Holden.

whats L stand for.
as both my fe/ fc have bloody fx/ fj motors no letters
before number.

Hi scott,
Engine numbers starting with "L" began at the introduction of the FE in July 56 and continued through to the end of the FC hope this helps

ill have to look through the rest of the greys ive got
and find an L block to have machined.
