Hello All
Can someone help me. What holds the bonnet lacing to the cowl. Screws or Clips and what do they look like?

Dean,
Originally the bonnet lacing is held on by long rectangular metal clips however these are no longer available. I used later model plastic clips which do the job no problems.
Cheers,
Craig.

I used a combination of NOS clips found at Rare Spares Brisbane and bits from Holden dealer in country, also sealed around the holes with white (matched paint colour) sikaflex works like a charm does not leak. If unable to get clips you would be able to glue seal on with sikaflex (small dabs where clips go) and no one would know, as long as you are not going for "concourse" job.

Hi Chris,
Good to hear you have stopped pulling that thing to pieces! About time you started putting it back together again
Here is a picture of the two clips - the long green one is the original, and the smaller black one is from a Commodore. Looks heaps different but does the job perfectly well. I got the late model one from Spectrum but you could probably find them at most parts places.
Cheers,
Craig.
