Be prepared for some frustration!!

I sent my $35.00 over a month ago. That was after a month of emails finally got me a response.

I have asked for a membership number to send to RET so I can access the members area of this site. Nothing!

I was actually thinking about joining the NSW club...... and this from a "Died in the Wool" Canetoad!! I'll wait and see how u go Sarge.

Hey Sarge,

Maybe we should set up a Gold Coast Club?

Well it looks like I am not the only one frustrated by joining the QLD club. As I said in the start I sent e-mails & downloaded form & sent it off over 12 months ago when I first joined this forum, and have had no reply. But I sent it off again today. May - Be we should look into a Gold Coast Branch or Sub - Branch.  Brisbane is a long drive each month for a meeting, But we could still join in rod runs and other function as a Sub - Branch. I am in Elanora, How many out there Interested?. As I am shore the Guys in NSW & QLD would help steer us in the right direction ( I would hope so I mean ). I want to join so when my car is finished I can enjoy it in a group (club) enviroment. I also would like to be able to get into the Members section Just to tap into all that experiance & knowledge.

On the other side of the coin I am Secretary/Tresurer for the Street Machine Association of SA. The entire committee is made up of volunteers, who also have a family and work full-time.
Then again 12 months is a long time.

How about a Rural Division?  Grin I live 50 odd Kms from the SA meeting location.

Stinky I know that we all have to work and that the club work is done in spare time but like you said 12 months is a long time. And may-be a Sub-Branch would suit other Gold Coasters as Brisbane is about around a hour drive each way. Then again could make a mini rod run of it once a month.

Hey guys,

You should telephone the guys from the QLD club. Ron Cook, the President is available on 07 3351 2736. Or contact Harry Brazier, a fellow Poo Mobile owner and very good bloke, he will be more than happy to help you out. The QLD Club only have a couple of guys (I'll stand corrected here) that commonly frequent this site, or have access to email, so telephone will be best.

All contacts are listed below:

President:
Ron Cook: 3351 2736

Vice President & Editor:
Bruce Webster

Treasurer & Dating Officer:
Greg Pritchard: 5498 7774

Events Co-Ordinators:
Trever Specht: 3207 4068
Harry Brazier: 4634 4122

Secretary:
Trever Specht: 3207 4068

Website Co-Ordinator:
Jim Altmann: 3294 0556

Let me know if you still have problems and I'll chase it up.

Craig Alderson
President

Graig
Thanks for the info I will start the ring around. Hope I have not upset anybody with this topic. As I should have chased up my original application long ago. With a lot of things going on at once I just got side tracked. Now I am back on my feet so to speak its time to get back on track with membership and to get back into finishing my car.

Any - way thanks to all

Hey Sarge,
Let us know how ya go with the ring around. I, too, do not want to upset anyone coz I'm hoping to be sitting with these guys one day soon having a beer and discussing old Holden's.
I sent the downloaded form about 3 months ago. Nothing. so i sent my money over a month ago. Nothing.
I sent the money to Ron Cook.
I really should have called by now to try to sort it out.
Can you let me know if you get onto someone who is helpful and I'll follow up with a call also.

Hi Gents

Give me a call if you have any problems. I am a commitee member and I attend all the meeting. If you want email me a copy of your application, but also send your hard copy and payment to the club address supplied on the web site.
