Hi Guys;
I am wondering if anybody knows of someone in WA that makes custom centre consoles that is not going to cost me my left one.
I am currently using the commodore console but the front piece does not go far enough forward to fit under the dash and the sides are a bit too wide.
I have had a couple of quotes but don't really want to spend the $1200 they are asking.
Any suggestions.
Regards

Neil, my brother made a console for an EH he had ages ago by making a ply mould and then fibre glassed it and then fitted it with gauges and controls for the heater etc. So you could make any size and shape you like with the ply and the glass it.

Neil

I made mine out of steel.

It allowed me to add 15mm radius to the sides. Got it covered in vinyl and looks really neat.

I did make a MDF dummy to get the right shape etc.

Don't know how to put the link (Here we go again!!!)for my build in Completed Project Cars.

Good luck with your construction

Many years ago I was working at Sanctuary Cove and I found a guy who was sewing a large boat together with 3 ply and fishing line . You can make a pattern out of cardboard and masking tape then transfer it to ply and fibreglass it .Haydn
