Front seat rails

Has anyone pulled their front seat rails apart ?  I managed to get my apart by using a persuading tool (hammer) and a lot of swearing.

Now the challenge to get them back together.  The main issue is getting the bearing / wheels into the rail unit.

Ken's got a good point. Usually its just dried grease mixed with dust that makes them unserviceable.

Get another pair, clean them carefully and then lightly re-grease and you'll be sorted.

Generally the rod that goes from the drivers side to the passenger side is bent so straighten this as well while you are at it.

I guess its been a hobby of mine since I was a kid to take things apart to see how they work and not be able to get them back together

On this ocassion, I took them apart to get the mounts zinc plated. 

After a bit of mucking around this arvo, I've got em back together but will wait until they are in the car until I know how well they work (or not)
