Still looking for a pair of 6" steel rims already have 7" ones for the back, anyone who's updated to 14's or 15's might have something tucked away.
Will buy a set of 4 if necessary.
Thanks in advance for any help.

OOP's, Showing my wife the website and saying how I still haven't scored any leads for the 6" rims yet, and she pointed out to me that the way I wrote the first post I didn't say I was looking for 13 x 6 rims. So now that she's pointed that out to me I'll try again looking for two 13" x 6" rims

Tried Ebay a couple of times without any luck, they seem to be mostly Torana rims (slotted) which I'd rather not use as my back ones are 7" with early centres and I'll be running original hubcaps. Thanks for your tip on ebay though, Wagga Swap meet is coming up on the 19th July and it's not that far from Tumut so I'll try there if I can't find any through here.

Just out of interest, does anyone know what is the widest you can make your rims on an FE FC front & rear without any mods at all to the body or running gear ?
Also, do you have to specify an offset
Gary
Sorry for hijacking your thread Newman

Mark,
Have you got a contact number for Keith at Top Tyres? As he lives at Yass he's just up the road, last time I asked about getting two made up I was told that no one could do it for fear of litigation if the car was involved in an accident ( all part of our "modern" world I guess).
Gary (Zulu) the offset question is a good one as I'm still staying with the kingpin front end.

ROH manufacture 13" and 14" trailer-type rims. http://www.roh.com.au/steelwheelscaravanblack.php. If you want 13 x 6" rims, you'll probably need to get an original set widened. Cheers, Ol_Girl_58

Also, do you have to specify an offset I had some HT wheels taken out to 7", specified the off set and got them to tack the wheels together to check on the car. Once fitted with 235/60ish 14 and driving I found they rub on the inner well on hard turns, no rubbing on the standard outer lip. Not sure about the fronts. Newman, I may have the rims you are after, but I'll have to dig around, alternatively there are a couple of places in Adelaide that would do the job Adelaide Wheel and Rim and Extensive Wheel Services

Glad I don't have to buy from that wrecker ($650 for two 13" x 6" rims), but I was down the pub last night talking cars with a couple of mates and they raised a good point. Tyre makers aren't doing the bigger sizes for 13's anymore, I haven't seen anything bigger than a 205 x 13 for a while now as the markets not there to support them making them anymore. I guess this is why 7 and 8 inch rims can be readily found at a cheaper price.
Why do ebay sellers always assume that if they use the word "rare" that the price should be triple or more of swap meet prices? (Yes I do understand the "supply & demand" concept)

Holy Crap, obviously Ned Kelly is not dead yet!!!! I will have to get my calipers on a pair that I have in the garage, they are chromed ROH rims with eager tyres, 225's I think. the chrome is starting to have rust come through, so the rims would be OK if you were to sandblast and paint, or alternatively, have them re chromed. http://fefcholden.org.au/forum/index.php/topic,15347.0.htmlScroll all the way down to the bottom on page 1, you will see a blue and white FC, with chrome rims on them. If this would suit let me know. They look like they are 6 inch rims, but I will check tomorrow

I checked out the link picture of the FC, as long as they aren't Torana (not slotted) and are 6" rims then I'm interested. Don't worry about the rusty chrome as I'd be sandblasting and painting them anyway. I have a set of tyres aleady so I only need the rims, look forward to knowing how they measure up
