Hey all,

Was looking at an article about brisbane emailed to me by a friend and funny enough the first picture I saw was this little cracker!

It is a shot down Brisbane's Queen St Mall taken in the 60s.........Top photo, wouldnt I kill to take little ride back in time!  ENJOY A LITTLE DAY DREAM LOOKIN AT THIS ONE........I sure did  Smiley

That is cool, must have used some power for the thousands of filament bulbs, is that coles and woolies next to each other?
It would be a good picture to step into and spend a night in but i bet coles and woolworths are shut.
looks like good days, everyone is out in town but no traffic.

Great photo Mickus,

D'you reckon it was taken in the 60s? I can't see a post 57 car in the photo, the Chrysler Royal is a 57, Vauxhall a 55/56 and no FCs as far as I can tell.

My guess is 1957. What do you think?

To be honest I just assumed it was 60s because of the caption under the picture in the article.........and to be brutally honest I was far to busy getting lost in the moment to even start trying to pin point an exact year.............it certainly is a dreamy scene.......

Just having a little more of a look into the article and came across this pic too taken on Brunswick St Fortitude Valley.......not quite as dreamy as the first but not bad none the less..........lucky an FE just squeezed into the far left
