I was thinking of a chrome dash setup and a glove box lid.  I then came acroos a set on ebay and at present the dash is $202- and the glove box lid is $66-.  Surely it would not cost that much to chrome those parts???  or does it???  Anyone know what a rough estimate of price may be??  i think the above prices are getting a bit overboard but they may be worth it I do not know

If you had both painted items in good nick, I would be very surprised if the plater charged you more than $50 a piece. That is of course going on prices I paid for my chrome a couple years ago at Adelaide prices. I just recently had a set of push-bike "chopper" handle bars done for $20.

I have just been told that bumper bar piece will be about $150 -$180 per piece... So a front bar will be around $700 with overriders.

Jason,

Send it to Sydney ;-)

About two years ago a front bar full rechrome cost $330.00. Bar was in good condition which I suppose makes it cheaper, but $700.00!!!!.

Company was Blu-Chrome, bar was done in a week.

Cheers,

Craig.

Well there you go.  I went down to HOTROD';s tonight and took him down some interior(which he bought from POOWAGONBLOKE), he gave me a dash and a golve box lid which tomorrow I will go and quote.  If I get it done which I think I will I will then give him back mine from my FC.  Thats what it is all about helping each other out, I must say this site has been a god send in many ways, cheers all
