my indicators have started playing silly buggers..
when i push the arm up or down the indicators come on but dont flash... sometimes, sometimes they flash slowly, sometimes quickly and sometimes at different speeds Huh??
the bulbs all work
any idea as to what is causing the problem (other than having a wagon that is possesed)
and how easy will it be to fix
is the easiest and best bet to just drop it at local auto sparky and pay them to play with it

Cool Cool Cool
(the one who blows out all his wiring just replacing the battery ! )

Gday Surferboy,
Try a replacement flasher can first before letting the electrician loose on your wagon.  Should be under the dash somewhere near the steering column.  Pull the old one out or at least check it out so you can get one the same.

Bad earth to one or more of the indicators can also make them play up.If you have a spare flasher can try Shanes idea first as its easy to unplug and try a new can.A bad earth can be frustrating  >:(and time consuming to find.

hope this helps,

Teryy.

Surfer, I used to have this problem in my car. It turned out to be the wiring connectors coming out of the steering colomn. I cleaned them up & made sure they were all a tight fit. Havent had the same problem since.
