There is a 1958 Queensland FE on epay at present -Kathy has posted the address under "auctions" -  which has tailfins on it, I've never seen before.

Obviously some sort of accessory - does anyone know what they are?

Here is a photo;

Dan Power (Mid North Coast)  had a couple of sets of these at some stage & yes they were an after market accessory for FE owners who I assume craved the FC look.

I'm with you Jamie , they look like something you attatch streemers to, just like you used to do on your pushbike with the handle bars when it was new.They would look good hanging in the shed but not on an FE (they would ruin the look of the quarters and those beautiful lines that only FE's had Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy)

Hi all,

 I have a set of these for my FE when I get around to restoring her and I can tell you that they weigh a ton. They have to be cast bronze or something like that.

I reckon 4Hammers in TAS could put you onto a set. I lived down there for a while and saw a couple of sets floating around. Derrick.
