I pulled that straight off the Foxtel web-site, which I believe is Eastern Time, so
5:30pm NSW/VIC and
5:00pm in Adelaide
about 8pm in WA?
10am in QLD (so it doesn't fade the curtains)
and sometime in 2024 for our New Zealand cousins  Grin

The Greg Norman version screened in Melbourne back in 1998 as part of the 50th celebrations.

Nicko,

It's a great documentary - lots of archival footage I'd never seen before.

The NSW Club have original boxed copies of it (VHS only, not available on DVD) for $20 plus postage.  Send us a cheque or PM me for direct deposit banking details.

cheers

Not sure which version is going to screen, neither the Foxtel or the History Channel websites elaborate on the content past what I posted before.

Nicko, I record most interesting Foxtel stuff and make my own DVDs, if you hit a brick wall send me a PM.

Interestingly enough the same channel aired a short 5 min doco style clip that debated Australia ever TRULY having it's own car. Hosted by a lady from the Motoring Museum.

I would think if a car was designed in Australia (even though it exhibited the "family" styling ie GM), was not produced for any other country, nor passed on any of the design, then surely it's "Australia's Own"

I thought this may get a conversation going  Grin

I think the argument was classing a truly Australian Car as being - a car designed and built in Australia by a wholly Australian owned company.

I haven't watched the whole snippet yet, but they were going through lots of cars from earlier in the century 'til present, including bloody Goggomobiles!

Just seen a commercial for this and heard the voice of one Greg Norman. I guess it's the one that's been getting around for a few years.  Tongue
Sorry if I raised anyone's hopes.
