I have just received the second of two FE Bonnet Mascots that I purchased recently.  I thought that they would be the same - so much for thinking...

The smaller one
Part number:  7118656 MCL 2
Length: 11 1/2" or 29.5 cm
Height: 2" or 5cm.
Appearance: smooth with rounded edges.

The larger one
Part Number: Holden 7406001-39
Length: 16" or 41 cm
Height" 4" or 10 cm.
Appearance: smooth with angled edges, top raised similar to a cupola, being wider too.  Back edge 'fishtailed.'

Are they both Holden pieces?
Is one an aftermarket item?

Thanks

Without a parts book handy I can't give you a definitive answer, but that first item does not look like an FE or FC part number.  Almost all of them start with 740 or 741.

An FE bonnet mascot looks like the top-most of these two:

...and its part number is 7406103.

Pretty much all of the FE and FC accessories appear on these pages.

Hope that helps,

Spinner,

I'm not sure about the part number on the larger one.  According to my parts book, 7406001 is a rear universal joint repair kit.  It would look unusual sitting on the bonnet.

As Richard said, 7406103 is FE, and 7406130 is FC.

Cheers, Shayne.
