Our FC was in mint condition when traded for a new car in MAY 1979.
for an UNBELIEVEABLE $300.00 trade in price

FC Special BLACK body with CAPE IVORY (yellow) roof, boot and inset, which means it may have been manufactured about MAY 1958.
Holden SPECIAL on the sides
'Bonnet Mascot', Chrome over the back boot area (over the light ridges).
Bumpers had 'Easy Fit Number Plate Frame Set'
The 'Air Chief Radio' was Manual control.
Cigarette Lighter
and 'Windscreen Sun Shade' (Deluxe type)

It had marginally worn floor pan in the front left passenger side.
No Body or Chassis rust.
All light lenses were replace and the rear ones were still RED.

The only records I am able to collate is.

The Rego Number (was) S.A. 133-336
the chassis number FC-225-82013 A
the engine number was
L455605

I'd love to know the whereabouts and appreciate if anyone can inform me where they last saw it and if its still around.
Fingers crossed.

Regards

I have checked all my records and cannot find a trace of the engine number nor rego number. The chassis number is not right (too many numbers) so I couldnt find this number either

This number:- "FC-225-82013 A" looks more like the body number off the body ID plate.

As Ken has said, it has too many digits between the FC & the A.

The chassis number for FCs is stamped in the RH (driver's side) inner guard.

Ken,
I appreciate your assistance.
I know how hard it must be to keep track of vehicles especially of this vintage.
Its been burning in the back of my mind for a long time now to do something about it.

It saddens me when the O'l man traded it in coz 300 bucks was 300 bucks even in 79, and I hadn't had my license as yet at 17.
Worse than all of that he bought the best car in the yard back then and its only become obvious from this forum how rare his one was.

Cheers
