Can anyone advise whether the rear number plate light globe should have a lens cover or does it sit there unprotected? My original hasn't nor has this spare. Both are badly rusted.

Cheers, Ken

A cover would help protect & disperse the light, just like an indicator lens. But I guess they did last a long time normally when used regularly.
