I drove to Philip Island and back with no plates, only got pulled over twice  Grin
Once at the gate to the Nationals "HQ" and once on the way home, showed them my temp rego papers from SA and they let me go on my way.
It also makes the trip through Melbourne a little cheaper  Wink

Dont know how it would work because its your car but me and a mate picked up a torana from just past lithgow had no reg but i pink ticket so we got this day pass thing from the rta, cost was next to nothing, had no plates and got pulled over on way to rta told the cop what was going on and he was fine about it.

I say get a pink ticket and tell them your putting it into storage at a mates but when you get there he had changed his mind and you had to turn back  Grin

call 0412546825 his name is peter gillard he's the engineer that did my LC for me, a real helpfull guy that works by the book and knows the rules as when i was looking for one i dont think i got the same answer twice and had people say anything from a few hundred to over a thousand and even had a guy say he wanted 300 just to look at it then i had to book it in with him  Roll Eyes

Anyways peter is just off norton street and he should be able to look at it fairly quickly, that way you can get pink and do day pass for cheap option??
